Our story

We are the Rectors! We are a golden-loving family with a dream of raising Golden Retriever puppies!!!

When I (Diana) was young(er), my Aunt Kim and Uncle Glenn always had a Golden Retriever. I fell in love with their sweet, gentle, and playful personalities. My parents surprised my brothers and I when I was in 5th grade; we showed up to a lady's house (a breeder) and when we were waiting for her to answer the door, I saw a sign to the side of the door that said "puppies inside".  I will never forget picking out my first Golden puppy, Amber Jean!! 

Fast forward a few years....

My husband, Travis, and I have been married for 17 years. Just after we got married, I was working some later hours, so I slept in a little later than he did (that may or may not still be the case!). I woke up to a note on his pillow that said,  "I'm okay! Call me when you wake up. Love you!" I called him immediately and he said, pick up a collar and dog food--I'm on the way home from Louisville with our Golden pup!!! 

Talk about best surprises ever!!! These dogs (who have both passed) still make my heart smile!!

This past spring at my cousin Farley's rehearsal dinner, I was chatting with my other cousin Mary Katherine. I had just met her boyfriend, Aaron, for the first time that evening. I snuck away with her to the dessert table and was asking her about him (they are kind of adorable, by the way). I told her I already knew he was a great guy because I had seen he had a Golden on her Instagram page. I told her we wanted to breed our Goldens one day. She stopped me and said no way--Aaron wants to do that with Boscoe!! The rest is history....!!!! 

We have been blessed to share our love of Goldens with our 3 daughters, Bayla, Aubrey, and Haddie who love these pups just as much!! We have 3 Goldens, Nella, Cam, and Coconut (a puppy from Nella's first litter!). Travis and I have talked about breeding Goldens for probably as long as we've been married, but have been planning things out for about 5 years. So when we say we're excited about raising puppies, that's an understatement!!!

It is our absolute JOY to  share these most beautiful, intelligent,  sweet dogs with you to love and enjoy for years to come!!
